Stay away from any card issued by WFNNB. They appear poorly organized, but it could be intentional unfair business practices. For example, they “lose” your change of address in order for your bills to be paid late & their customer service representatives are very aggressive as well as snarky. They also give misleading information on the phone, like not differentiating between the minimum payment and the total amout to pay off the bill. Check out what others have to say about them; the stories are all similar.

Think WFNNB should be required by law to list all companies they have credit dealings with.
Not just calling themselves “banks”.

Just received a notice from WFNNB stating that they will charge $1 for every paper statement they send unless I call to cancel. I’m sure a lot of you received the same letter since it’s a change in policy. The problem is, I don’t know which card they’re referring to and they required a CC# to cancel! There isn’t a way to bypass the account # to talk to a live rep. Does anyone know how? They make it impossible to get any information!

I don’t even own a credit card. Does anybody know a general number for this provider?
11. John December 24th, 2009 at 3:10 pm
Received an important notice concerning our one of our credit card.
The telephone number listed on the notice - 800-832-8145 has been disconnected. Comforting to deal with a business that lists a disconnected number to call for help.

I just got off the phone with the so called “Manager” of WFNNB and he was so rude. He wouldn’t work with me on my debt what-so-ever. I told him I thought it was ridiculous the way he was talking to me and no rep. should ever speak to a customer like he was to me. If I am attempting to pay all you have to do is work with. I mean times are hard. I ask him questions about policy and procedures his company goes by and he can’t give me a straight answer. Anyone know of a number I can call to speak to someone else??Thanks. I don’t recommend getting a card with anyone through WFNNB.

Wml, if you look in the first column near the bottom where it says “New Language for your Credit Card Agreement,” you will see the card they’re referring to. I’ve already received three of these notices….The Limited, NY and Company, and Victoria’s Secret so far.

Thank you, KKS..I just got a notice from them and had no idea who they are…thanks to you I know it’s Domestications, which I shall cancel forthwith. 24.99%APR is ridiculous even though I NEVER carry a balance on my credit cards…it’s on principle that I will cancel this account.

Thank you KKS, you helped me!! now I know which credit card this WFNNB change in terms goes to, it is SPORTS AUTHORITY. Add that to the list of stores they represent!

Does anyone have a phone number I call contact WFNNB to cancel old credit cards?
17. Paula January 19th, 2010 at 5:44 pm
I received a letter today from a Consumer Relations Specialist. The number she printed in the letter for me to call for more information is to a car dealership!! It’s bad when a company cannot even print the correct phone number. I will never deal with another company again who uses WFNNB for management of the credit card services.

I work for a company that uses WFNNB. I have seen a lot of confusion about contacting them. I know that if you know what retailer you have the account through, go to that retailer’s website or contact the store for the card services number. Each retailer has a different contact number through the bank and that is the quickest way to resolve issuses. Although it is an automated system there is an option to speak to someone after an account has been located.
There is a general contact number for ADS (parent company) 614-729-4000. There is an option for WFNNB’s credit cards and other accounts. Some people my see WFNNB on thier credit reports and wonder what it is. This bank is masive including retail cards as just a piece, so collection calls could be from any aspect of thier enterprize.
Ok, all that being said, I believe that they have implimented a fee for the mailing of paper statments. In most cases, you can avoind the fee by changing over to e-statements. Check your accounts on-line or call the number on the back of your cards and change to prevent the charge.

I pulled my credit report today and found an open line of credit for WFNNB. I called to close it and they gave me an address to send my request to. I don’t have an account number nor do I know what the account is for. How can I get account information to close this line of credit?

BEWARE OF WFNNB. I had a NY and Co. card that I reported stolen, and they never cancelled the card. Someone ran around for two weeks charging my card, being granted TWO limit increases, and now they’re saying I’m liable until they do an investigation. Maybe if they’d actually done what they were supposed to do and cancel my card, we could have avoided all of this.

I just received a call from WFNNB but they did not leave a message. The number on my caller id was 913-563-5520 I tried to call it back but was put on hold. Soooo if anyone needs a number to call them I thought I would share it.

I have been harassed in the past two by WFNNB even though I have made 7 payments in 6 months. I set my payments on furniture I purchased on an automatic bill pay. They change their due date each month. The first time last October that this happened, I simply made a second payment in October. Now they are trying to tell me I haven’t made a payment for January even though it was automatically paid on the 15th…their due date was the 12th. The January payment really should be applied to February.
Needless to say, I sent the balance and wrote a letter to cancel my account and yet still received a letter today and a phone call stating I have not made my minimum payment.
A phone number on my letter was 800-262-3685. Not sure if that will help you. I plan on calling the Better Business Bureau and also possibly seeking legal action against them. I will never do business with any business that uses them such as Victoria Secret, etc.

I had a credit account through this bank with Metro Style clothing company and they proceeding to charge me interest at a rate of 105.9070% and sent me a bill for $11.60 at that interest rate, when I refused to make payment and asked for arbitration hearing they refused this also, however, they offered me a $10.00 return for my troubles, has anyone else had this problem with this bank, I have hired a class action attorney to sue them for myself and any other person’s who may have been charged this rate too, I still would try to settle with them but they refuse to get bak to me. If anyone has any information that will help me please email me and let me know
24. ASD February 11th, 2010 at 12:09 pm
@ KLI: you had a high-looking annual interest rate because you had such a small balance. if they charge a minimum finance charge of $1, they are required by law to tell you that at that rate, $1 a month for 12 months (thats what annual means) would be like 105% of $11. But it’s not real because you aren’t going to have an $11 balance for a year. You pay $11 right away, not over the course of a year. Class action for $1 - seriously? And after they offered you $10 for your “trouble?” Good luck w that.
25. Dennis March 18th, 2010 at 5:55 am
Unless you specifically waived arbitration within 30 days of receiving your first credit card agreement, that “agreement” prohibits pursuing your claim in court (except small claims court) or to have a jury decide the claim. It also excludes class action proceedings.
26. samslady March 19th, 2010 at 1:24 am
First of all, I’m a collections representative for WFNNB. I work out of one of the call centers in Ohio, and I’d just like to state first and foremost, READ YOUR TERMS OF AGREEMENT WHEN YOU APPLY FOR THESE CREDIT CARDS. If you think our practices are so terrible, maybe you should have read about them in the first place. They are lawfully provided to you, and if you neglect to read all of it, you don’t need a credit card because you obviously do not fully understand how credit works.
Second, if you want to change your address, you MUST go through us. The post office is obviously not reliable. Call the customer service number on the back of your store credit card, they’ll update it immediately. It’s a sure fire way. Also, on the back of your statements is an address change form.
Third, the reason we are charging a $1 fee for paper statements is because we’re trying to help mother earth by getting customers to sign up for web statements. It’s called ‘Go Green’. It’s not a terrible thing. And while I’m on the subject, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO ‘ACCIDENTALLY’ SIGNS YOURSELF UP FOR WEB STATEMENTS. We can’t sign you up for those without your permission, it’s impossible if you’ve never given us your email address over the phone or at the store. Just because you ‘forgot’, it does not warrant a late fee credit.
Fourth, when we call you being ASSERTIVE it’s because we have a job to do and are trying to pay our bills as well. When somebody owes you money, and they sign a legal binding contract with you, you expect your money back on the date you gave them to pay you back. Do not get upset with us because you’re embarrassed that you neglected to pay your bills. If you just kept your cool, we are moooooore than willing to help you out. We can post date your payment, we can set you up on reage (account has to be opened for 12 months to qualify), we can do a hardship program for you (provided you qualify), and we can split up your payments if need be. There are two sides to every story, the nastier you get, the more we don’t want to help. And trust me, if you get nasty with us first, we definitely do not have to help you.
Fifth, as far as not making it to the store due to weather, or not making a payment online because our server is down, or your internet is down… These are not valid excuses. There are plenty of methods to make your payments on time. Call the number on your statement, or back of card. You can register your card online and make payments that way. You can take them to the store (cash or check only, but you’d know that if you read the terms and conditions). Or you can mail them in.
Hope this clears some things up. have a nice evening.

OH and one more thing. If you’d like to call the attorney general, the better business bureau, or sue us… GOOD LUCK. Everything we do is completely lawful, your case won’t hold up in court.
28. ma March 20th, 2010 at 9:00 am
You might be Lawful, but you are a shady business. Your numbers are bogus and you are too hard to work with.
