I noted today as I was browsing through my accts. online that my Wal-Mart credit acct. was charging the astronomical amt. of 34%! I cannot believe this. I have always paid on time & more than the required amt. & I have spent thousands & thousand of dollars at Wal-Mart over the years. Had I known this would EVER occur, I would have never applied for a card. Believe me, I intend to get this paid off asap & get this word out to all I know. I just can't believe this.

I have a Wal-mart credit card, and on the back of my statement the email address is Walmart.com/credit. This is not the web page I needed to change my account address. Sames as Sears. Neither has a good phone service. So I guess I'll just have to guess when they want me to pay, look at old statements. You would think companies this large would think that right now envelopes and stamps are not for us who are out of work. The next thng I'll let go of is the intenet.

GE Money Bank represent Walmart. I currently have a Walmart credit card, and upon my request they lowered my interest rate in November, 2009 (account in good standing, also pay extra on my account monthly). However, in December, 2009 the interest rate was increased to 22.90%. I do not understand how this can happen. The actions are unacceptable, and they do not care about their customers, will be loosing an outstanding customer.

GE Money Bank is a RIP-OFF! ! ! ! ! !

Never ever get a Walmart credit card backed by GE Moneybank. They mess with your credit limit and lie to you for the reason why.

They dropped my credit to $100.00 stating it was because they found on an Equifax report. I called them and they said Equifax reported I had something to into collections with in the past 7 YEARS. I told them this was not possible and that they should have sent me a copy of the report. The woman said they didn't have too. I found my balance was only 43 dollars so while talking to the woman I poped on my banks website and made an electronic payment paying the account off completely and telling them to CLOSE my account.

I've always paid them on time, and always at least double the minimum payment. I also obtained my credit report from Equifax and it shows NOTHING in collections or having been in collections, no history of even being late making payments to creditors!

The fun part is I am planning on posting their letter to me stating my credit limit was lowered due to the Equifax report they oddly couldn't supply me with, and a copy of my pristine credit report from Equifax proving these people are just full of crap.

Just google "GE Money Bank complaints" and you'll see what a stellar company they really are including the class action suites against them. I will never get a credit card backed by them again and will be sure to tell others considering it and what department store cards are backed by them so they too can avoid them.

An example of what you'll find if you google around:
