1. Steorn - Company has created “Orbo” technology that it says produces “free energy” and the possibility of “never having to refuel your car or recharge your mobile phone, to a genuine solution to the need for zero emission energy production.” Some call this a claim of a perpetual motion machine. Steorn is now challenging scientists to test this magnetics technology and either validate or refute its claims. Company’s historical function is more mundane: “develop technology to help combat counterfeiting and fraud in the plastic card and optical disc industries.” (www.steorn.net)
