(1) The story about the $30,000 monthly royalty is so atypical that it should be ignored. However, the author made much less money by using vanity publisher Outskirts Press than if he was a real self-publisher.
(2) iUniverse is not a self-publishing company. It’s a vanity press.
Just as no one can eat lunch for you, no person of company can self-publish for you. The words just don’t make sense.
