Well I have a truck which is a company truck and that my grandmother pays the bills on. Well the repo men show up on my front steps tonight and saying that we haven't payed the bill since December. Well we got our things out and give it over to them. Later we started going though the bill, and found that we payed ever month from December to Feburary by phone, and March isn't due to the 28th of March. And we only own 1,500 on it. Pretty much the only reason i posting this is that i will never go though BB&T again. Well don't know how this is going to turn out, but i'll keep you posted.

I had someone come by my home today to repo my vehicle and he did not get it. Instead, I filed a Police Report against him for breaking and entering.

I live in my garage while everyone else live in the main house. I park the van in the garage because a couple times people messed with it and it costed me to change my windscreen and the headlams which was stolen.

Well this afternoon I was on my bed and the garage door which is on an automatic door opener was half opened. This guy came and uknown to me crept under the door. He pulled the string to detach the door from the automatic opener. I heard the door opening but it sounded different. So I looked out my door and saw this man looking at me while opening the door. That garage door is the main door I use to go in and out.

I asked him wtf he was doing in my house and he said he came for the vehicle. Man, I was so pissed off, I told him he has no right to break into "my" home, he was supposed to knock and identify himself not just to forced my door open.

We got into it for a while and he left. I called the Sherriff's Department and they told me I can file charges against him for breaking and entering. He came back a second time just before the Deputy came to my home to take my report and I got his tag ad gave it to the Police.

Needless to say, he now has a trespass against him and if he ever show up on my property I will call the Vops and have him arrested.

I called the finance Company and told them they can get the vehicle but they will have to send someone else to get it. Now they are telling me that they have no one else who can do it. am now planning to leave it on the drivewa and have some friends of mine come and take all the parts they need. My balance is $2300 and the van is worth about $600.

For anyone who is going to be late on a payment. The best thing to do is call your finance company prior to your due date and get an agreement for payment on a later date. This lets the finance co. know that you are not avoiding them and you are aware your payment is due. Most times if you keep the promise of paying by the date you agree on, you will not have any problems. In response to statements above about personal property in a vehicle. Most companies I know have no problem letting a person get the property out of a car because if the debtor does not remove it, then the repo company has to remove, inventory and store it. This takes a good amount of time. The repo company I manage and the ones I have worked for find it much easier to let the debtor remove the property in trade for the factory key. This results in no key cutting fee to the debtor or the finance company and no fee for personal property to the debtor. Also this removes any worry a debtor might have about personal or valuable property being stolen or damaged by us the repo company. We try to do this on every vehicle we repossess. If finance companies could not use repo companies than none of them would risk loaning money out to finance vehicles.

Repossession Agent,
Where can you get trained and licensed in NC. I think this type of job needs to change from the tooth less wonder bike gang image to Mr./Mrs. Professional and partner Mr./Mrs. Respect. I also think that the (reenactment) TV show Operation Repo causes most of their on problem by first impression. Thanks for any input. Just trying to get into the business north of W-S NC

My car was repoed, I didnt make a call and good ole UAC (Universal Acceptance Company) took it 3 days later. My fault. I called to find out where it was and they acted like they didnt have it picked up. After playing some games on the phone they finally admitted they had it...I went to get my things and they told me it would be $50.00...If I didnt have the car payment, why do you think I have $50!! Its my stuff...it wasnt in the car when I bought it!! SO I left it... It sucks to be unable to find a job and take care of children on unemployment. You would think people would be more understanding in this economy.

Kevin,

Obviously you have not had the right repoe agents, for one I do not blame you for playing games with them because it is funny for only a short time.

Here is the issue with that if you are repoed by our company in this state (HIDDEN) you would be screwed once that garage door opened, when it is open is fair game most statesd are the same as you signed the contract at timeof purchase read the fine lines and repossession agents like our selves are 100% fully armed, trained and bonded and we are allowed to defend our selves by all means (Video Recorded) so next time it may be you with the hole as we had many times grounded a few customers by force.

Companies like our selves do not show up alone we run in teams of 10 by all means. And yes we are licensed in North Carolina maybe we will meet one day NEVER KNOW :)

However depends from state to state but be careful as next time you play games you may get the needle out of the hay stack that the last guy lost. Just for note it is not worth a fight because sooner or later they will grab the ride and you could be possibly walking home from the dentist or wherever you maybe. We made several walk before then we get the last laugh by giving customers who play games a quarter to call someone who gives a crap.

Remember we are not paid to care only to take the ride by all costs.
