You should not hold the house hostage by not allowing a vote. Are you afraid of how the vote would turn out? It is not your job to influence the outcome of democracy. Let the house vote on whether or not to open up additional land to drill for our own oil. Just look at how the prices of fuel fell merely at the mention, by President Bush, that he was lifting the ban in place that was under his control.
