What an awful situation. My wife applied for this credit card and it was nothing but a mess. I think the sole reason she signed up for it was for the perks when she made her first purchase.

If one gets an offer of 10% or so for opening a credit card account and using it that very day, I would advise opening the account, getting the 10% and then going home and sending a check to close the account. Otherwise you are going to get screwed in some way. In these days where everyone we talk to for help is in Indja, there is no hope.
