Nine of the best sites for song lyrics. Know of another site that should be listed here? Leave your suggestion at the bottom of this page. (Related searches: Beyonce Knowles, Panic! At The Disco, Danity Kane)
1. A-Z Lyrics Universe - Claims it has the lyrics to over 50,000 songs. Like all free song lyrics sites, it’s chock full of ads and pop-ups–your price for finding lyrics for free. (www.azlyrics.com)
2. Lyrics.com - Offers lyrics to thousands of songs, as well as links to the music videos of most of them. Note that to get to the lyrics you actually have to click twice on the song titles, because the first click gets you the music video. We don’t know why, since it’s a lyrics site, but that’s what was happening last time we visited. (www.lyrics.com)
3. Sing365 - Good selection of lyrics with a tolerable amount of pop-up windows and ads. (www.sing365.com)
4. Panic! At The Disco Lyrics - Get lyrics to songs from A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out and other Panic! songs here. (www.plyrics.com)
5. Lyrics Search Engine - Fairly extensive music lyrics site, with fewer of the ads and pop-ups that make the others so annoying and difficult to use. (lyrics.astraweb.com)
6. A Definitive Collection of Tom Waits Early Lyrics? You’ll Just Have to Wait - January, 2008 review of the book The Lyrics of Tom Waits: The Early Years questions whether the printed lyrics are completely accurate (or are missing lines in some cases). (www.kansascity.com)
7. Song Lyrics on Yahoo Music - Not nearly as large of a selection of lyrics as you might find at the unauthorized sites, but maybe more accurate lyrics? We don’t know for sure. Anyway, a lot of top artists, but a lot left out, too. (music.yahoo.com)
8. High School Musical Lyrics - Song lyrics from the soundtrack to the first High School Musical movie, including “Breaking Free”, “Bop to the Top”, “Start of Something New”, etc. (www.allmusicals.com)
9. The Allegedly Best Lyrics of This Generation - Are the best lyrics of the past 13 years really found in Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together”? July 9, 2006 blog post from one voice that says “no.” (kofis-hat.blogspot.com)
