Q. Does Home Depot offer a bridal registry / gift registry?
A. Yes. Home Depot does have a gift registry, but you can only register at a single Home Depot store, not online. Start a bridal registry at a Home Depot store and gift givers can access your registry at the specific Home Depot store you registered at (but NOT at any other Home Depot stores).
How do we know this? We contacted Home Depot customer service a few times and asked, and that is the answer they gave us every time. However, looking at the links below, you’ll see this mentioned in a few other places:
- Where is the Gift Registry??? – The conversation on Home Depot’s own Customer Care discussion board has a Home Depot employee confirming that there is a Home Depot registry, but that you can only create a registry at a single Home Depot location, and the only way for anyone else to see it is to go to that same Home Depot store and request the registry. - Home Depot Registry? – This discussion forum conversation has several participants confirming they’ve registered at Home Depot, but they say you can only register at a specific store — the registry can not be accessed online or at other Home Depot stores. (forums.theknot.com)
- Overturning the Home-Improvement-Store-Registry Conundrum (or Trying to Anyway) – June 2011 blog post from a bride who accessed the Home Depot wedding registry in a Home Depot store and then used blog software to post the registry online. (www.weddingbee.com)
- Home Depot Gift Registry? – This forum conversation from 2011 also confirms that a Home Depot registry can be set up in store, but one person who did it reported that it was complicated and that all the guests instead ended up buying them Home Depot gift cards instead of dealing with the registry.
