I’m so upset - I have not been receiving any statements for the past 3 months - but I do get charged a late fee how is that right - then I call customer service and I do not even get an apology. And they tell me to just sent the payment with no statement and they will send me a new statement for next month. But of course next month comes around and again NO STATEMENT!!!.

  • 2. Sally Perryman    April 20th, 2009 at 3:23 pm

I haven’t received a statment in two months. When i call they tell me to just send a check but don’t forget to put my account # on it. They told me the statment was sent on the 18th for the follwing month.I just got a statment today and guess what? they have me owing two payments even though they were sent in without a statment. Come on GMAC crack down on your help.If they don’t perform get rid of them, they are giving you a bad name.

  • 3. Jim Robinson    April 21st, 2009 at 9:05 pm

GMAC is the worst online website to contact. The say you can email them and they do not provide an email address. You have to call “customer service” and then you get someone in the Phillipines that cannot answer the question you have. I will never do business with GMAC again. Try to payoff a vehicle from GMAC and it takes forever and they want you to use the post office. They won’t even accept electronic transfers from another banking institute. I thought this was the year 2009. They act like it is the “70″s. What a bunch of crap.

  • 4. Donna Duranso    April 29th, 2009 at 9:24 am

GMAC took my account off the internet so my grandson can’t pay his payment on line.

    WHY?????

  • 5. lanette norris    May 12th, 2009 at 10:53 am

Customer service is a complete joke. I got transferred from cubicle to cubicle in the Phillipines. When asked to be transferred to a different branch they could not provide a direct phone number, could only transfer me. I complained that I was attempting to make a payment within the 30 day period, as to not reflect a negative on my credit, and wasn’t given the entire 30 days and the woman said, “Well 29 days should have been enough anyway”. Absolutely absurd. She said we can take your money today but we can’t show you paid it until three days from now. I said, “You can tell me what the tire pressure in my back left tire of my Silverado sitting in my driveway is right now, but you can’t show I made a payment until three days from now”. This is why failing businesses should fail, so quality businesses will rise. My last three vehicles were Chevy Silverados, never again. Hope it was worth it GMAC, or whatever bank you are now.

  • 9. maria verwiel    May 26th, 2009 at 12:44 pm

I have been trying to make a payment and I cannot get in the payment center. Now when it comes time to charge a late fee or reflect on my credit they will not have a problem. this company should have gone bankrupt. Lousy service lousy cars!

  • 10. mavis    May 30th, 2009 at 6:05 pm

I leased a cobalt, (never again), turned it back in, in EXTREMELY GOOD condition. Did not get a letter from authorized dealer re: condition of car. Called GMAC to get copy of letter from dealer. was told I would get a copy, have called 4 times, one CS informed me I could not get a letter until the car was SOLD!!!!! and hung up on me. since then, I have called several more times, last time, asked for supervisor, (probably wasn’t), again told I would get a copy of letter and refund. Got a letter from GMAC stating blah, blah, blah, and that I was due $150.00 back, which was to be sent under separate cover??? that was in April 17th, this year, I have not received refund, have called several times, Today, 6/20/09, I got a letter exactly like the first one, informing me of refund.
DON’T ever do business with them. If government (we) have to pay to bail out auto companies, then they give themselves raises, why do any business with any of them.
I’m very angry. trying to find exact mailing address for corporate president eric a. feldstein. anyone have it, or know where I can get it?
    thanks much.
what a total crock this whole thing is. I feel for all of you having to deal with GMAC

  • 11. mike secchiaroli    May 31st, 2009 at 10:27 pm

i hate gm but as far as not getting statements….you know whats due when its due. dont blame a late payment on a statement…its due the same time every month. your inability to make your payments on time doesn’t excuse your responsibility. yes i am i debt collector

  • 12. jason parker    May 31st, 2009 at 10:50 pm

  • 13. gary thiebaud    June 10th, 2009 at 11:57 pm

what about gmac going bankrupt and not paying their bills - why should we pay our car payments to a bankrupt company. You got my tax dollars in a bail out.

  • 14. Diane    June 11th, 2009 at 3:58 pm

It is too difficult to get to the payment center. It would be nice to be able to access the exact place the payment needs to be scheduled through the reminder email that is sent.

  • 15. James DeWald    June 29th, 2009 at 11:53 am

We received a statement 3 months after their direct payment program stopped taking payments. At this point, they had already begun repo proceedings. I spent an entire day on the phone, gathering cash for a moneygram and running all over town to prevent the impending repo. No reasons for them stopping direct payment were given and no contacts were given to discuss this matter. Only first names were given (shady) and I couldn’t even wire the money directly from my bank. I can’t imagine doing business this way and its no wonder they’ve failed. It is my intetion to further pursue this as I do not believe our credit should be tarnished in the least bit. I suggest all with problems of this nature should follow my lead and contact everyone possibly connected to this sloppiness including but not limited to government officials.

  • 16. Bonnie    July 22nd, 2009 at 8:12 am

GMAC don’t you see the problems people are having with making car payments. Why don’t you do something. Maybe because customer service is in the Phillipines and they don’t care? I can’t make my payments on line either. What kind of banking system is this?

  • 17. Suzanne Lea    July 23rd, 2009 at 8:46 pm

What’s going on with GMAC’s payment site? I was in, then keep getting this box which ways the site is down 7.25 - 7.27, it’s only 23rd - ?? Can’t get in to even make a payment. Frustrating.

  • 19. Nigel Ward    August 17th, 2009 at 1:50 pm

GMAC Mortgage customer service is the WORST ! I see many others have complained about the customer service in the Philippines! When you call them, they never understand how you need help. Managers are never available, so they take a note to have someone call you back, but they never do. One time they did, but they called my house phone, although I left my cell phone on five different voice mail messages. It is the most frustrating thing. And there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.

  • 20. Raylene Reno    August 23rd, 2009 at 6:58 pm

i returned my truck i got a letter telling me they owe me
1600.00 they would be sending it under a seperate cover
i called the number two times the first time she told me
i would be getting it next week i called again she told me
they have to call me back in 24 to 48 hours she had no idea
when it would be sent this company sucks…….

  • 21. Karen    August 28th, 2009 at 8:17 am

Nigel, I just had my first dealing with GMAC Mortgage, and I agree with you…AWFUL! The “Customer Service Rep” kept repeating the same thing over and over, and he wasn’t even answering my question! Very frustrating. And then after he said he would handle the matter, I ended up getting a statement charging me late fees, when my payment wasn’t late! If only someone in this country could have a real customer service center that actually helped people and where they don’t sound like drones reciting an answer off a piece of paper.

  • 22. robin    August 30th, 2009 at 6:40 pm

I can’t pay online they don’t want a check they want a money gram every month since my pymt is behind. My husband was out of work for seven months and jobs are hard to find but the job he did get he might lose because gmac calls his workplace every day threatening repo and demanding money now not a company that I would recommend getting involved with.

  • 23. Frances Dominguez    August 31st, 2009 at 7:15 pm

After reading the above comments I’m scared. I am down to my final 2 car payments. GMAC has been drafting my checking account for the past 5 years. My final payment is
Nov 2009, I’m scared they will continue to deduct into Dec and I’m scared I will not get the title to my car. Frankly this company scares the pants off me. Why did our gov’t bail them out? Oh yes it was to protect the employees. I feel sorry for them but honestly I feel sorrier for me and others like me. GMAC I hope and pray you will go completely out of business.

  • 24. sandy byam    September 1st, 2009 at 10:46 am

canoot find a way to make payment on line

  • 25. ashleigh    September 14th, 2009 at 5:12 pm

I am so frustated with GMAC and just want to be finished with them. I recieve NO bill. So when it comes time for me to make a payment I call, and they say oh, just sent your payment out and we will send you your statement. No, as a customer I would like to see my payment before I just send money out. And then they say well then you will get charged a late fee. What the hell is wrong with these people?! People do want to see their STATEMENTS BEFORE they pay a bill!!

  • 26. Angie    October 5th, 2009 at 2:35 pm

Try using customer automated service and one time payment withdrawal service M-F #=18002004622 you still get directed to JP Morgan Chase you will need bank info and account info. #18778452642 wait for conformation # and write it down on something for your records showing that it is paid. Will pay Silverado 2005 in 6 months. Never again

  • 28. Lynette Dimick    October 23rd, 2009 at 10:39 am

I have just recently became unemployed and need assistance with my bill. I have filed unemployment but since the unemployment rate is so high in the state I worked in I will not receive unemployment for at least 10 weeks. I no money but GMAC will not help. I have never missed a payment in the two year of having my car. I believe there should be some program to help us unemployed citizens since the economy is so bad. I know from the news GMAC received help from the gov. Why can’t they help the people who helped them.

  • 29. Bill Collinson    November 12th, 2009 at 10:01 pm

Worst. Finance.Company. Ever. Have spent hours just trying to make a payment. I’ve never worked so hard to get someone to take my money.

  • 30. ZELLA R. GRANTHAM    November 17th, 2009 at 8:43 am

WHAT IS WRONG WITH GMAC? THEY DON’T SEND YOU A STATEMENT. IMPOSSIBLE TO PAY BY THE NET. NO WONDER YOU NEEDED A BAIL OUT. I NEED ONE TOO!

  • 31. David Johnson    November 20th, 2009 at 11:33 pm

GMAC Customer service in the Philippines - Wow!
    You must be kidding …
Not to mention the web site - one of the worst ever.
And GM hope customers will remain loyal to them!
There are so many choices of non-GM automobiles in the market that the decision will be easy to make. After buying or leasing 18 Saturn’s since 2001 - well next vehicles will be non GM brands - That is for sure.
GM is taking ‘bail-out’ and funding employees in the Philippines …

  • 32. Ace    December 4th, 2009 at 2:10 pm

GMAC is the worst company I have ever done bussiness with literally, I lease a vehicle couple years back completed the lease contract done deal right? Wrong CHarges after CHARGES after CHARGES for no reason , I admit I did go ofver the milage a couple thousand miles tha added up to like $800 @ .20 cents per mile ok I can deal with that , but GMAC is charging me $8,756.76 Dollars thats how much the Vehicle is worh all together , if your planing on getting financed by GMAC , make sure you have a good Lawyer good luck guys Ace

  • 33. andy    December 4th, 2009 at 3:50 pm

The best thing to do when buying your car is to shop and compare prices and deals from dealers,if you want to pay more goto the guy thats not going to give you a deal and sit you in a vehicle, the dealers lease the vehicles. If you are having trouble making payments you can send the payments via check, and send on or before the due dates.no late fees.if the vehicle is too much go back in and trade it in if you have low interest rates, they wont keep you in a car you cant pay for, they want you to drive, thats why they sell cars.and all the dealers have phone numbers, you need to contact your dealer for help, thats the best way to protect yourself and your vehicle and credit.

  • 34. Bunny    December 4th, 2009 at 9:05 pm

Gmac have customer service reps calling early in the morning, like 8:00am when they know you are not home, saying I better hear from you by the next hour. Then get this they leave a fake number like 1-888-443-3114 ext- 30838 call Mr. Washington. When you dail the number it is not in service!!!! Can you picture that!!!! This is a big company playing games with you all the time. And will not help you when you are unemployed and have been paying your bills up until then. President Obama needs to do something about companies like this. I hope you sleep well at night Mr. Washington.

  • 35. TnGoddess    December 18th, 2009 at 1:30 pm

I have been out of work for 4 months and made payments two of those months and have been talking with GMAC about what was going on and asked if they would work with me. After being told yes, I got up this morning to find my car missing. I contacted GMAC as I have been in the past asking them what happened to my car. They told me to call the police I asked them to check if the car had been repossessed and they came back with, ” yes you can’t drive a car if you aren’t paying for it.”. I totally understand that and advised them that I had been making payments and calling them. They have no record of my phone calls to them and now I am without a car until possibly Monday and I don’t know how much more I am going to have to pay. The Repo company didn’t even leave me a number or case number when they took the car. Nice huh. How come they can be bailed out and we the people can’t be forgiven. May God have mercy on his people.

  • 36. corey newell    January 4th, 2010 at 10:08 pm

spoke to a customer service rep,or two,or thee,or four does anyone over there have a clue on what’s going on. between them and gm i guess we understand why you are about to go out of buisness. we made a payment for our vehicle on 12/30/09 and three day’s later there calling us again saying we owe them that amount again. no one over there has a clue on what’s going on and it’s very sad.

  • 37. DonaldWingard    January 8th, 2010 at 2:17 pm

I have not received a statement for the month of January and I have called several times to try and get these people to mail me a statement so I can make my payment on time. I have made 30 payments on time and I dont want to be late. These people that I have talked to havebeen very rude. They dont seam to have any idea what I am trying to say. I will never buy another car frrom GM. I dont know where GM hired these people at, but I am finished dealing with GM. I can see why GM is not making any money.

  • 38. patricia clark    January 15th, 2010 at 2:49 am

  • 39. Chuck    January 15th, 2010 at 7:54 pm

I’ve already posted but what the hell. My Tahoe’s tranny completely blew up in the first 20K. They replaced it w/ a rebuilt one explaining that it would be better than a new one. The electronics are a joke. Odometer went out soon after tranny blew, tach followed soon after, seat warmer went out. When I hit the seat warmer it changes the station on the radio. When the Jiffy Lube Dude showed me my air filter it was full of red tranny fluid. I guess there is a connection just above the air cleaner and whoever had worked on that connection just let it fill the air filter. Guess who had been working on the tranny. You guessed it, the local Chevy dealership. I could go on, but it’s a waste of time, GMAC doesn’t care.
    Won’t ever buy another.

  • 40. Sean Critch    January 18th, 2010 at 12:47 pm

Making no wonder gm needs bailing out, they are still operating in the dark ages, the crappiest customer service i’ve ever experienced!Cant get an answer on the phone, email is non existent, and web site sucks, you can get info about everything except the thing you are concerned about.Lost my job after 15 yrs didnt take them long to reposses my car shame on gm.I can assure you my next new car will be a Lincoln not a Cadillac, Ford is the only manufacturer that has not be brown nosing the government for tax payers dollars, I hope they continue to do well , I will support their efforts by purchasing a vechicle from them in the near future

  • 41. Jason McDaniel    February 8th, 2010 at 12:49 pm

I was given an extension on my December payment after being told I could just pay the interest and sign a form and mail back to them. I paid the payment online as I make every payment. I signed the form and mailed it in. They never received the signed form. After 40+ phone calls by them to me saying that I failed to make my payment, I finally got someone to fax me the paperwork again. I signed it and faxed it back to them. The phone calls stopped. I made my January payment as I was instructed and also made my February payment of $500 and its posted to the acct on the exact day it was due. I check my credit report and find that GMAC shows me 30 days past due for January and 30 days past due for February. The argumentative Philippino in customer service refuses to remove from my credit report the bogus info. I finally talked to someone in the USA and basically got the same run around. When I asked how I could be 30 days past due for the month of February when it is only 5 days past the due date I got no answer. This bullshit fiasco has cost me nearly 60 points on my credit score. I have the report disputed but who knows the outcome. I will never ever finance another vehicle through GMAC and I have owned 15 GM products. Unbelievable. The Govt. is screwed up and so is the Govts. car company. I have never once been late with a payment on a vehicle in my entire life. Thanks GM for screwing the consumer.

  • 42. RaeSheaun Alston    February 10th, 2010 at 10:34 pm

I have had so much bad experience with GMAC with my home and auto I would not recommend them to anyone. They will not help you at all when you financial problems regardless if you have been paying on time.

  • 43. dave    February 12th, 2010 at 9:42 pm

I want to buy out the lease on my car from gmac. I have never been late or missed a payment in 3 1/2 years. But my credit is bad due to cicumstances out of my control. I filled out the application and got denied. I called for info and the man on the phone was cold. Its like trying to finance from a robot. NO HEART. Very disappointed

  • 44. Linda Webb    February 16th, 2010 at 5:57 pm

I have never been so disappointed in a co., I have tired to make a payment on line for one hour. i still have not made the payment and i will have to call back to the 1-800 number that will give me a different number to call so that they can charge me a fee to use them. Can anybody help with this problem ? Why have on line help if this is what you get and why should I get charged for pay by phone, I am paying my bill. Just another why to get your money

My family and i have always been GM customers, as far back as the 1940’s and because of there over seas “customer service” GM has gone to HELL and now we have stopped buying GM cars, cars 9-11 and trucks wow 18-20 thats 20-31 cars and trucks every year My family well we Ranch and Farm. it would’nt bother us at all if GM went belly up. now we buy Fords and a few Mercedes. as for GM oh well your loss Fords BIG gain.

  • 48. danny    March 14th, 2010 at 11:56 pm

Gmac is doing scam with customers like other scammmers, they don’t send a payment statement so they can charge late fees, since there are so many people this is happenign to, then it has to be a scam, don’t you all agree, who do you report this to?

  • 49. trixie    March 19th, 2010 at 11:27 pm

If this is a government owned agency then they need to do research on just who should be part of that. The U.S. A. should have “American” people that would be contacts , not foreigners that can not understand the language , let alone give a person the opportunity to express the reason for making a call. It is very frustrating that also the company can raise a person’s car payment “three times” in three years. What is up with that “GMAC”? Are you a legitimate “American” company or not ? Where is your loyalty to the American citizen?
