AUSTIN (CN) - An Internet dog-seller is accused of running a puppy mill: selling more than 50 sickly bulldogs for $1,500 to $2,500 apiece, and falsely claiming to have bred and raised them, in a class action in Travis County Court.
Plaintiffs claim Kristy and Charles O’Neal of North Richmond Hills, Texas, do business through misrepresentations on their Web site, Epuppypro.com.
“(D)efendants have sold in excess of 50 bulldogs with serious and/or fatal medical issues for between $1,500 to $2,500 [sic] or more,” the complaint states.
Plaintiffs claim the O’Neals misrepresent their business by falsely claiming that “We breed English Bulldogs & French Bulldogs. … We know that we are the #1 Place for Top Quality Bulldog Puppies you can find, with excellent health. … We consider all the puppies we have part of our family & we love and care for them.”
But in fact, the plaintiffs say, “Defendants do not breed English or French bulldogs. Defendants admit, instead, that they are a bulldog ‘broker’ and run ‘an Internet-based marketing company for English and French bulldogs’ that distributes bulldogs. … The bulldogs defendants purportedly breed in Texas are, in fact, shipped en masse by ‘heads’ and ‘boxes’ from Russia and signed for at Houston airport by defendants. … The City of North Richland Hills Humane Division has been inundated with enough consumer complaints regarding the poor health of defendants’ bulldogs that said Humane Division launched an investigation into defendants’ activities … Defendants do not furnish purchasers with ‘Full Registration,’ or any registration whatsoever, for its bulldog puppies. Hence it is impossible to ascertain whether in fact these puppies are ‘Champion Sired’ or possess ‘Champion Bloodlines.’”
Plaintiffs demand punitive damages. They are represented by Robert Kleinman.

State Busts Up Alleged Puppy Mills
FORT WORTH (CN) - The State of Texas accuses a married couple and the wife’s sister of running puppy mills, misrepresenting the diseased bulldogs they sell for $2,000 to $3,000 apiece, falsely claiming to have bred the dogs themselves, and refusing to replace dead dogs with healthy, live ones.
The defendants are Kristy O’Neal dba EPuppyPro aka EPuppyPro.com; her husband, Charles O’Neal, also dba T.B. Elite Marketing LLC dba EPuppyPro.com and Lobopuppies.com; her sister, Melody Edwards dba Lobopuppies aka Lobopuppies.com; and Vickie O’Neal Alvord, an officer of T.B. Elite Marketing and epuppypro.com and lobopuppies.com.
The O’Neals operate out of North Richland Hills, Texas, Edwards out of Hurst.
The state alleges:
The defendants misrepresented the health of at least four sick puppies, claiming they had been checked by vets; one died the day after arrival; another one died soon thereafter; one has “two genetic disorders which left it unable to walk or stand.”
One puppy the defendants sold was ill on arrival and died within 6 weeks.
The defendants advertise their dogs with alleged testimonials from customers, but at least one such customer “made no such statements and remains dissatisfied with his or her purchasing experience.”
The defendants use AKC and other trademarks to advertise their dogs, but refuse to provide AKC papers when requested.
The defendants misrepresent themselves as the dogs’ breeders, but the dogs have tattoos indicating they were imported. One puppy, which Kristy O’Neal misrepresented as bred at her home and “her kids’ favorite” went to the purchaser “straight from the airport immediately after being imported.”
The state demands penalties of up to $20,000 per violation.

We purchased Hank from Danielle Kristy/O’Neil (epuppypro.com) in September 2006. My husband and I drove to Portland, OR to pick him up on Sept. 18, 06. He seemed to be in good health. We took him to our vet (Sept., 19, 06) and right off the bat our doctor was shocked that he could get his finger in his umbilical “belly button”… he said that needed to be fixed as soon as Hank was old enough to be put under anesthesia. Here’s the notes from that visit: The puppy has a large umbilical hernia which could be life threatening if a loop of bowel or part of an organ get incarcerated. Umbilical hernias have been proven to have inherit-ability. I would not recommend using this dog as a potential breeder. We were very sad because we did want to breed Hank at some point, but as honest people we felt the right thing to do was to have him neutered to stop this fatal trait. Danielle’s vet that signed off on Hank had to have known he had this problem, but still signed off on him as a healthy puppy. Danielle’s vet signed off on him 9/14/08: Tammy License #: 9357, 100 W. Main St. #202, Grapevine, TX 76051. You can’t tell me that this vet is not in on what Danielle is doing and she should be held responsible too. Danielle did reimburse us for almost half the surgery to fix the hernia, but wouldn’t reimburse us to have Hank neutered. We, like so many other epuppypro customers have not received any registration or documentation. We tried calling Danielle several times to get paperwork or even his birth date with no response. Hank was also tattooed. It saddens me to see so many people being taken advantage of by a person who plays on peoples emotions… but Danielle and company - looks like the gig is up, I hope you get what is coming to you. The poor animals that weren’t as fortunate as Hank… the trauma that they went through at such a young age when they should’ve been with their moms and litter. Instead they were crammed into crates, put on a plane for hours and then shipped to Cruella Deville (Danielle), who then shipped them out again for her own profit. I’ve learned a huge lesson from all this and I will never, ever, ever purchase a puppy from an on-line breeder. You need to be able to see the puppy in person before you buy. I am so sorry for the families whose puppies didn’t make it - what a tragic ordeal!

Wrinklebullies sold me a dog that had a parasite when I first bought her. Their vet told me that a puppy in the litter 3 days before I bought my puppy was sick and they gave meds for all three. They never told me this or gave me the meds. I find out during vet visit she has a heart murmur. The breeder was told about the puppy having the heart murmur and he says he didn’t know about it. In the vet records the vet stated that he discussed her heart condition with the breeder. He did offer me to exchange for different puppy but he would wait 2 days for me to bring the dog. I live 6 hours away and it was during the week. Now my dog has RED MANGE. It is very costly to control and the dog can even die for this condition. Several vets have told me this is a heredity condition and that the breeder SHOULDN”T be breeding the mom. I contacted the breeder and he’s never heard of red mange. This is hard for me to believe. I think 1850.00 is expensive for a dog especially a sick dog. He states on his website that they sell “high quality dogs” but you can be the judge of that. Just letting you know what I am expereiencing with this breeder. They also almost always have puppies for sale on their website. I asked how many female breeder dogs they have and he said “26.” Wow! I would have never bought a dog from him if I would’ve know that. Be careful who you buy your puppy from.

I too am a victim of this evil woman. I purchased a Frenchie from her in 2006. The day I picked her up from her house, I noticed a terrible rash around her female parts. When I confronted Danielle, she replied “oh thats just puppy rash, here use this cream”. After handing this EVIL woman $2500 in cash, I had my little frenchie, Blossom, on our way home. She tried to rush me out of her home after I handed over the money, explaining that they had a plane to catch. As soon as I examined her at home, I discovered she was incontinent, had projectile diarrhea, and a tattoo on her belly(which I later learned meant she was imported from Russia) I was ASTOUNDED when she told me should would do NOTHING to help. No refund, No exchange, No help on medical bills. She even had the nerve to say only if Blossom was Dead then they would exchange. HEre’s the saddest part. 3 surgeries later, nothing could be helped to treated her condition…Ectopic Ureter…this is where the tubes leading from your bladder to the urethra are filled with many holes and constantly leak urine. I had to keep her in a diaper 24-7 and then treat her diaper rash on top of that. She was so smart and so playful, but in so much pain. It broke my heart when I learned after the final surgery, that NOTHING else could be done. This sweet innocent puppy did not deserve to live this way. $9000 later, I had to surrender my little Blossom to the Bulldog Rescue. The sweet people of this rescue group were able to find a home for her. But I could not believe that Danielle would not even offer ANY help. I was a single woman and struggling at that time, so after hiring an attorney to go after her, I could no longer afford the attorney…instead, I depend mostly on my belief of KARMA. If you are reading this Danielle, I hope you did something great with that $2500 cash I gave you in exchange for a sick dog that you knew damn well had a problem. Never got my papers either. I love how you couldn’t explain her rash and red stain on her hind legs yet still sold her to me knowing I had never owned a dog before. You are sick woman and I hope you go to bed at night knowing how many victims you have fooled and hearts you have broken. If only she could have just owned up to the truth and stop lying to everybody just to put money in the bank.

Amanda - I, too, was an unfortunate buyer of a precious, but sickly, puppy from wrinklebullies.com. We had to make the most difficult and humane decision to put her to sleep at exactly 4 months old. It completely ripped my heart to shreds. I would like to get in contact with you to discuss your situation, along with anyone else who has dealt with Cesar Aranzazu from wrinklebullies.com. Please email me at lmrk117@gmail.com. Thanks.

lmkr117 & Amanda - I also purchased a very sick puppy from Cesar on November 3rd, 2009. Five days after we brought her home she was diagosed with Parvo. The incubation period for Parvo is 7 - 10 days. Both vets that treated my puppy, said that it was most likely she acquired the disease from the breeder. The treatment was very expensive. I contacted Cesar to inform him and he gave me few to no options for a plan of action. I’m sorry you had to put down your puppy.
To: Lmrk117- I’m sure our situations are very similar. I also was never able to get my dog’s registration papers from Cesar. He said he would mail it to me and then simply never did. I wanted to take legal action against Wrinklebullies.com, however after a series of events I lost hope. I’m positive what happened is not right, and I can’t stand the thought that previous buyers feel the same way I do about a similar situation, and future buyers don’t understand what they are getting themselves into. I would like to discuss this with you or with anyone else that has dealt with Cesar Aranzazu. Please contact me at

I’m also expecting my baby boy to arrive this weekend, and I cant wait for that!!
I did my research and the only bad comments I found was the three above, and that didn’t scare me.
Just remember this criatures are live animals and we need to care and love them.

Does anyone know of a credible and reputable English Bulldog breeder? I have had more luck encountering scam artists than anything else.
